Yehuda Steel was founded in 1995. It engages in the recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap, smelting of scrap, rolling, and its conversion into steel for reinforced concrete.

The steel factories produce using modern technology that is trail breaking in steel production in the world, using a continuous process that complies with the steel standards in Israel and abroad.

Yehuda Steel

The Yehuda Steel division engages in the processing and production of steel rebars for construction, starting from the stage of collection and purchase of steel scrap and recycling the raw materials in the company's recycling factory (on a scale of 250,000 tons of steel per year), via the smelting factory in which the scrap is smelted, and up to the final stage in the Micromil Factory that has been built using modern, trail breaking technology, to which the steel comes in a molten state, and by means of sophisticated automation that permits continuity of the work in three systems (smelting, casting, and rolling), passes through all stages of the production with maximum efficiency until the production of steel rebars in various diameters and lengths. These are produced from 100% recycled iron.

The Yehuda Group believes in the maintenance of green industry and consequently it preserves the environment during the entire production process of standard constructional steel.

Sustainability in The Yehuda Group

The factories of the group comply with the strictest environmental standards. The Yehuda Steel factory recycles about 250,000 tons of ferrous scrap per year, by means of absorption and processing of scrap vehicles, industrial waste materials, domestic industry, rails, military vehicles (from the IDF), waste materials from Israel Electric Corporation, and even recycling of drinks cans.

After strict sorting the processed scrap is sent to the smelting and rolling factories for smelting and production of iron rebars.

In addition, we take care to ensure orderly disposal of materials that are unsuitable for the recycling process, during the entire process of production of standard constructional steel, and by investing a great deal in air cleaning resources (by means of a special air filter) for this purpose.
